My name is David Shannon and I have been researching several family lines and
have located cemeteries in the quest for gathering information on my ancestors.
I am making this genealogy information available to those that may find it
useful. I am sharing information I have gathered based on family memories and
information gathered from actual tombstones and from family interviews and
written records. My purpose is 2-fold. I hope if you are searching and find this site it
is helpful to you... And if you can provide more information of my family
history, please contact me. I can be contacted at this link:

Shannon - PRESTON
HENDERSON - WAGERS - BARKER
My father is Coleman Gilbert Shannon and his father was William Wilson
Shannon and his mother was a Armilda Henderson. William & Armilda are buried together
at the Lexington Cemetery. Armilda's parents, Thomas Henderson &
Alice Wagers and several other family members are buried in Estill Co., Kentucky
on Red Lick Road in the Henderson Family Cemetery. Thomas
Henderson's parents, O. D. Henderson and Susannah
Barker are also buried there.
Alice Wagers parents were Sidney David and Emeline Park Wagers. They are buried
at the Wagers-Brinegar Cemetery in Estill County, Kentucky along with Sidney's
father, James Wagers and Thomas' sister, Chrisellen Henderson Scrivner. I have
researched the entire cemetery and have recorded all of the people buried there,
including additional information.
William's parents died several years apart and were both buried in unmarked
graves. William's father, Charles Christopher Shannon is buried somewhere
in the Antioch Church Cemetery in Franklin Co., Kentucky on Harvieland Road off
of Highway 421 just outside of Frankfort. Some records show that Charles
was born in Pennsylvania and other records show he was born in Indiana.
William's mother, Lucy Preston, is buried at Hillcrest Cemetery on Versailles
Road in Lexington, Kentucky. Records show that her father was William
Preston.

BROWN - HARP - BRADLEY
CONRAD - CHILDERS
BOYERS - lEMMON
My mother is Dolores Jeanette Brown. Her father was Sylvester Childers
Brown and her mother was Dora Mae Harp. Sylvester and Dora divorced when
my mother was a child. Both Sylvester and Dora were married three times.
Dora lived most of her married life, married to Edgar Griffen. She died as
Dora Griffen and is buried, along with her husband, at Bluegrass Memorial
Gardens in Nicholasville, Kentucky. Sylvester is buried at Hillcrest
Cemetery in Lexington, KY along with his parents, Joseph Jefferson Brown and
Carrie Childers. Carrie Childers is a Granddaughter of William G. Conrad
and Lucinda Hedger Conrad. Carrie is the Great-Granddaughter of Elder
William Conrad and Elizabeth Boyers Conrad. All four of these Grandparents
are buried in the Conrad Family Cemetery on Baton Rouge Road in Grant Co.,
Kentucky along with many other relatives.
Elizabeth Boyers was the daughter of Jacob Boyers and Dorothy Lemmon Boyers.
Jacob & Dorothy are buried in the Lemmon Family Cemetery. This cemetery is
located off of highway 36 between Cynthiana and Williamstown near the area known
as Renaker. This is located on a farm and barely visible from highway 36.
Jacob and Dorothy Lemmon Boyers are my 5th-Great Grandparents.
Dora Harp, was the daughter of Lloyd & Julia Bradley Harp. She was one of eight
children of Lloyd & Julia. Lloyd & Julia are buried at the Old Union
Christian Church Cemetery on Russell Cave Road in rural Lexington, Kentucky.
Along with Lloyd & Julia are several other family members including three of
Dora's siblings: Clyde, Chester, & Ada (Wells). Also buried at this
cemetery is a child of Dora and Sylvester that was born and died on December 5,
1928 and buried in an unmarked grave. Also buried there are John & Laura
Harp. John & Lloyd Harp were brother's and Laura and Julia Bradley were sister's.
