We carry a good selection of glass shades and chimney's. Most antique, vintage, and reproductions use standard glass sizes. However, there are unusual and hard to find sizes and designs. So be sure to measure correctly before making a purchase.

As an authorized Aladdin Mantle Lamp Co. dealer, we are able to offer genuine replacement Aladdin parts and lamps. We stock items that we have the most request for including: Mantles, Wicks, Chimneys, Burners, and shade holders.

Keep in mind.....
.....the fitter referenced for glass shades (such as a 10" fitter) refer to the size of the shadeholder and not to the exact size of the lamp shade. The glass shade will measure slightly under the "fitter" size to allow the shade to set in the fitter and not on top of the fitter. So, a 10" shade will actually measure between 9-3/4" and 9-7/8".

10" Lamp Shades actually measure just under 10", but fit in a 10" ring. This size glass shade fits most standard oil lamps including: Rayo, Aladdin, Bradley & Hubbard, Miller, and even most common #2 glass oil lamps.

These shades can fit on a complete tripod with ring or on just the tripod. The shades that are pictured below include our "normal" inventory. Please call for current availability on any of these shades.

The shades shown just above and just below are 10" Hand Painted Tam-O-Shanter shades.
The Tam-O-Shanter has a 10" fitter, but extends out to approximately 13" diameter.
The style fits very well on larger base lamps, but may look slightly large on standard oil lamps.

Remember that we do not have all of these shades in stock, all the time.

7" shades measure just under 7", usually about 6¾" to 6⅞". The are known as 7" shades because they fit in a 7" ring or on a 7" tripod. These are used on oil lamps that are slightly smaller that the regular oil lamps. They are also used on most student lamps and even on some pole lamps.

6" shades measure just under 6", usually about 5¾" to 5⅞". The are known as 6" shades because they fit in a 6" ring or on a 6" tripod. These are used on small oil lamps. They are also used on some student lamps and even on some pole lamps and hanging lights.

We carry Opal Ball Shades to fit most lamps. Ball shades are commonly used on Banquet Lamps, Organ Lamps, and many other antique and reproduction lamps. On most old lamps such as the
"Gone With The Wind" style, it is common for the top ball shade to be slightly larger than the bottom fount (font) of the lamp. All of the ball shades shown below have a 4" fitter and they are open at the top to allow the lamp chimney to extend above.
(These do not have a lip fitter and are not designed to hang from a 4" fixture holder)

This style lamp shade was originally sold with several different styles of hand-painted flowers. We offer the shade as seen in the pictures below. The choice is a choice of tinting; Pink or Green. These shades are still available and we try to keep them in inventory for immediate shipping, or we can order rather quickly.

The 6" reflector and the 8" reflector (not shown) both have a 2-1/4" fitter.
The 10" reflector has a fitter of 2-7/8".

From time to time, we have vintage glass shades available for sale. This vintage school-house globe shown just below has a 4" fitter. It has a unique design, similar to bricks. Only one available! $40.00.

These shades are sometimes referred to as "Bathroom Globes". We see them more commonly used on the vintage gooseneck desk lamps as seen in the picture below. They have a 2-1/4" fitter.

There are several standard size chimney's and your measurements need to be exact to fit properly.

The standard #1 chimney measures 2½" fitter and 7½" height - $5.00 in clear, $8.00 in frosted.

The standard central draft chimney that fits lamps such as Rayo & B & H measure 2⅝".
The 2⅝" chimney is available in 8½", 10", 12" & 14" tall.
The most common height is the 10" - $5.00 in clear, $8.00 in frosted.

The 3" chimney is available in 8½", 10", 12" & 14" tall.
