Custom UNO Fitter Lampshades & Replacement Shades
Looking for a replacement lampshade for an older lamp with a threaded UNO socket? Shannon Lamp Service manufactures custom UNO fitter lampshades in our Lexington, Kentucky workshop.
Because we make our own lampshades, we can provide a UNO fitter lampshade in virtually any size, with your choice of our available fabrics. We make replacement UNO shades for older table lamps, bridge floor lamps and other lamps designed to use the traditional threaded UNO fitter.
What Is a UNO Fitter?
The UNO fitter is one of the most misunderstood lampshade fitters. A traditional UNO fitter screws directly onto the threads found on the outside of certain metal lamp sockets.
Not every fitter that looks like a UNO is actually the same. Some newer lamps use unthreaded fitter systems that resemble a traditional UNO. Our “traditional” UNO fitter is designed for a threaded metal lamp socket.
If you're unsure which type you have, contact us. We're happy to help you determine whether one of our UNO fitter lampshades will fit your lamp.
If you have a newer Bridge Style floor lamp that uses s “slip-uno” fitter,
we do offer those as well. It is important to measure the inside opening of
the slip washer for proper fit. We offer two choices, 1-3/8” opening or
1-9/16” opening. Most of this is explained in the video just above.
